The meaning of “compassion” is to “suffer with.” As fellow members of the Body of Christ, we “rejoice with those who rejoice” and “weep with those who weep” (Romans 12:15 ESV).
Our Compassionate Care Team seeks to provide special attention to the needs of our members in the following areas:
Widows and Widowers
Good Shepherd Care Community
Our Prayer List
Divorce Care
Dementia Care
Homebound Members
Additional Needs of Older Adults
Our Lord Jesus says, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40 NIV). We desire to strengthen the spiritual, physical, mental, and relational needs of our members through this ministry.
DivorceCare
A DivorceCare support group for people walking through separation or divorce begins Monday, September 14, at 6:30 pm in the church office. Members of the community as well as members of St. Paul’s are welcome. At a DivorceCare group, you’ll watch a weekly video with counsel and insights from respected divorce and recovery experts, as well as relatable personal stories—followed by a time of sharing and support.
For more information, contact the church office at 660-463-2291 or visit divorcecare.org. Register directly at find.divorcecare.org/groups/302088.
Prayer List
Our prayer list is included in our weekly bulletin. Each week we pray for members and friends of our congregation as well as for ministry partners and community needs. More than just a resource for our Sunday morning worship, all are encouraged to prayer for these people and situations throughout the week in their personal or family devotions and reach out to them as sisters and brothers in Christ.
Help to keep our prayer list up to date. Contact the church office at (660) 463-2291 or office@stpaulsconcordia.org with any additions or changes.
Dementia Care
The Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care Dementia Support Group meets in our Conference Center each month. The group typically meets at 9 am on the fourth Thursday of the month.
Crossroads makes dementia care resources available on their website; visit crossroadshospice.com/hospice-resources/illnesses/dementia-resources.
